Visual signature versus certificate-based digital signature
Understand what a drawn, typed or uploaded signature image does, and when identity verification or a signing service is required.

Know what the signature tool creates
PDF Master Pro places a visible signature image onto a PDF page. You can draw, type or upload a signature image, choose a page and place it in the preview. The resulting mark can communicate that a document was visually signed, but this tool does not bind a signing certificate to the file, authenticate the signer or produce an identity audit trail.
Whether a particular electronic signing method is acceptable depends on the recipient, transaction and applicable rules. This guide describes the product's technical behavior, not a legal opinion on a specific signature.
Choose the required signing method first
If a portal or employer asks for a certificate-based digital signature, a picture of a signature does not meet that technical requirement. Use the approved signing service or certificate workflow they specify. If the recipient accepts a visible mark on an ordinary PDF, this tool may be suitable after you confirm their requirement.
Do not use another person's signature image without authorization. A mark that looks authentic is not proof of consent. Similarly, the presence of a date printed on a page is not a trusted timestamp supplied by an independent authority.
Create and place a visible signature
- Keep an unsigned original and open E-Signature.
- Select the PDF and choose Draw, Type or Upload.
- Create your own mark and check that it is legible.
- Choose the intended page and click the preview to place it.
- Apply the signature, save a new PDF and inspect the result in another reader.
Typed names use bundled fonts for supported scripts. Long names are fitted to the signature canvas. Upload mode accepts supported PNG/JPEG images; inspect their resolution and background before applying them.
Check the position after scrolling
The preview can scroll within a large page. Confirm that the mark lands on the intended line in the downloaded PDF, not merely where an overlay appeared in the browser. Check its width, height and surrounding text. The image's aspect ratio matters: stretching a mark can make it hard to recognize.
For a synthetic form with a signature box near the bottom, inspect both the box and a nearby date field. A signature image should not hide required wording or another person's information. If the document has several signing positions, review what the current single-placement operation actually produced.
Existing certificate signatures require separate treatment
Rewriting or adding content to a certificate-signed PDF may affect the original signature's validation status. Preserve the signed source and validate it using the appropriate reader or signing platform. Do not assume that a visible certificate-signature appearance remains valid after conversion, merging or other editing.
The same distinction applies to watermarks and page numbers. They are page content, not evidence that a document has been cryptographically protected or that its author has been verified.
Handle signature images carefully
A reusable signature image can be copied and misused. Keep it in an appropriate private location, avoid placing it in publicly shared examples and remove unnecessary copies on shared devices. Browser-based processing does not eliminate risks from browser extensions, other scripts or a compromised computer.
When the task involves an important contract, regulated filing or identity-sensitive approval, confirm the required workflow with the responsible party before signing. Select the method for its verified properties rather than for the appearance of the mark.
