Word to PDF: when text conversion is enough and when it is not
Convert DOCX/TXT text to a new PDF while understanding why tables, images and original Word pagination may change.

This tool creates a new text-based PDF
PDF Master Pro's Word to PDF tool reads DOCX or TXT text and lays it out in a new A4 PDF. It is suitable for straightforward text when the exact original Word layout is not required. It does not reproduce every image, table, header, footer, equation or page break from a DOCX file.
A successful download should therefore be judged against the right requirement. If you need an official form to retain its original boxes and logos, use the source word processor's own PDF export or another workflow that preserves that document. This browser converter is not a promise of pixel-identical Word rendering.
Prepare a supported input
Use a .docx or UTF-8 .txt file. The older binary .doc format is not supported by this converter. Renaming .doc to .docx does not convert its contents. Open the document in an appropriate authoring application and save it in a supported format first.
Keep the original. If the text has tracked changes, comments, complex fields or important formatting, settle those in the authoring application rather than assuming a plain-text extraction will represent their intended final state.
Try a representative paragraph
- Select a DOCX or TXT file containing the kind of text you need.
- Convert it and save the PDF with a clear filename.
- Open the result in another reader.
- Compare headings, paragraph order and page boundaries.
- Inspect non-Latin text and the last page before sharing.
For a simple letter, compare its subject, recipient name, date and closing paragraph. For a DOCX table, expect that extracted cell text may become sequential text rather than a preserved table grid. If the grid conveys meaning, that result may not meet the requirement even when every word remains present.
Understand line wrapping and headings
The converter wraps text to the available page width and adds page numbers. Simple heading cues can affect size and spacing. Its line breaks are calculated for the new PDF rather than copied from the original editing document. Changing from an installed office font to bundled PDF fonts can also alter wrapping.
Long unspaced strings and CJK text are wrapped with language-aware segmentation. Bundled font fallback covers the site's supported scripts, including Latin, Devanagari, Arabic, Japanese and Korean. Review actual output because rare characters, unsupported symbols and complex mixed-direction lines can still need a different workflow.
Do not confuse the two conversion directions
PDF to Word reconstructs editable text from a PDF, using OCR where needed. Word to PDF takes supported text input and creates a new PDF layout. Applying both tools in sequence does not restore a complex source document. If an original DOCX is available, it remains the best place to make edits.
A synthetic document containing a paragraph, a three-column table and a logo demonstrates the distinction. The text converter can produce the paragraph and table words, but that does not establish that the original table or logo was recreated. Choose according to what the recipient needs to read and verify.
Check before submission
Confirm that the final page is present and that no important information depended solely on an omitted image or layout relationship. Search for a known word and copy a sentence if the recipient needs selectable text. For accessibility or a regulated submission, use an appropriately evaluated authoring/export workflow rather than treating a new PDF as automatically compliant.
Keep both the source and the reviewed output. A file-format change is useful only when the resulting document still communicates the intended information.
