Excel and CSV to PDF: preserve Unicode, long cells and IDs
Prepare a selected worksheet for a paginated PDF table while keeping text, extra columns and meaningful leading zeros.

Export cell values for reading
Excel to PDF converts a selected worksheet or CSV dataset into a paginated PDF table. It renders cell values as text. It does not reproduce every workbook chart, formula behavior, merged-cell style or print-area setting. Use it when the priority is sharing readable values, and review the PDF before replacing a workbook export from your spreadsheet application.
The browser reads the selected file locally. Memory limits still apply, especially for large worksheets. Keep the original workbook so you can return to formulas, formatting and source values later.
Prepare the sheet you intend to share
Choose the correct worksheet from a multi-sheet file. Review the displayed preview and confirm the header row. The preview only shows the first part of the dataset, so the final document needs a separate check of the last rows and columns as well.
Remove unrelated personal or business information in the source application before exporting, where appropriate. A PDF table export is not a secure redaction workflow for hidden workbook content; do not share the original workbook if it contains material the recipient should not receive.
Import CSV deliberately
CSV stores characters and separators rather than a workbook's complete cell types. This converter reads CSV as text to preserve UTF-8 and meaningful leading zeros. A synthetic record 00123,José,500 should retain the identifier's zeros and the accented name in the PDF.
Check quotes around fields that contain commas or line breaks. "Service, annual" represents one field, not two unrelated columns. The converter should preserve the field's text, but a malformed source CSV can still produce an unexpected table. Fix the source rather than treating a visually aligned preview as proof of correct parsing.
Choose page settings for readability
- Select the input and the intended sheet.
- Review the first rows and confirm how many columns the data contains.
- Choose page size, orientation and font size.
- Convert and inspect every part of the downloaded PDF.
- Keep the worksheet and compare a known row near the end.
Landscape orientation often helps a wide table, while a smaller font can fit more information. Neither justifies unreadably small text. Very wide sheets can continue across horizontal groups of columns. Review those groups as well as vertically continued pages so that a later column is not overlooked.
Long cells and multilingual text
Long cell text wraps and can continue onto additional pages rather than being silently cut off. Ordinary header rows can repeat on subsequent pages; an exceptionally tall first row is not endlessly repeated. Review where long descriptions continue and whether the reader can associate each value with the correct column.
Bundled fonts support the scripts used by the site's ten interface/document languages. Arabic direction and digits, Devanagari combining marks, Japanese characters and Korean text deserve a visual check in the final PDF. A file opening is not proof that every uncommon symbol or glyph is covered.
Values are different from workbook behavior
The PDF contains the displayed cell values; it does not provide editable formulas, pivot tables or chart interaction. If a calculation matters, review the workbook result before conversion. When the original worksheet print layout is essential, export from the authoring spreadsheet application instead.
After downloading, compare the sheet name, meaningful identifiers, a long description, the final row and the rightmost columns. Share the PDF only when it communicates the intended dataset clearly.
